Moving Images will be screened at Egomio black box theatre on December 18-20.
We are proud to announce that, in 2020 edition we had 639 applications, the biggest number from the beginning of the festival. 69 films from all over the world will be screened.
This year we are happy to highlight the screening of two films by Cypriot artists Evie Demetriou with Andys Iakovou and the collective work by Nefeli Kentoni, Maria Masonou and Melina Koutsofta.
In the 6th MOVIMA 69 short, medium and long-length works from 27 countries will be screened. The films are diverse, innovative and highlight collaborations between different art disciplines. We are also happy to open a new form of Moving Images – on the go. Our first collaboration is with Goethe Institute Cyprus on the 17th of December. 7 German and international films will be screened at Goethe Institute Venue at 7pm. (Duration of screening 50 minutes)
Now, more than ever, video contribution to the various art forms is crucial. Modern technology is an expressive tool and highlights the moments of art life but also everyday life which becomes inspiring part of the final creative result on screen. New media provide new possibilities for artists, offering them different landscapes for exploration and creation. MOVIMA will be presented at Egomio black box theatre on the 18th , 19th and 20th of December. Each day there is a two hours screening. Limited number of seats available.
