Dance Lab Nicosia was founded in 2008. It is a non profit organization which empowers,supports and unites professional dancers and promotes the art of dance in Cyprus.Dance Lab members are professional dancers and choreographers.Dance Lab gives all opportunities to dancers to participate in workshops,dance classes and performances(through Dance Waves Festival)The organization concentrates on professional development projects. Since October 2013 Dance Lab is based at Egomio Cultural centre, Neas Egkomis 8,Egkomi , Lefkosia(Industrial area of Egkomi)
Dance Lab Nicosia is on a continuous dialogue with the dance community and other inspirational artists.
Dance Lab Nicosia is supported by the Ministry of education and culture of Cyprus.
In March 2019 , Dance Lab created the first Contemporary Dance Youth company 14ANΩ for dance students 14 years -18 years old. The participation in the youth company is through auditions.
